I think it’s heading the way of having another vote on the EU in the near future.

Perhaps we can have one this time that’s legally binding, that limits international interference and that has strict campaign spending limits so one so side doesn’t go massively over them with absolutely no consequences.

Yet another simplistic “rejoin the EU and all our problems are over”. We (the UK) need to look at how we can improve things such as youth employment, general levels of disability and lack of skills. I’m in favour of a trading agreement with the EU such as Switzerland has but overall in my opinion the EU has become too beuracratic and isolationist over the past few years.

The EU has gone through a ‘lost decade’ in the 2010’s and is due for another one in the 2020’s – makes sense for the neo-liberals to hitch their wagon to that failing enterprise.

For all of Starmers failings, he has at least been busy working on deals with the areas of the globe that will be growimg and innovating for the 21st century – India, America, South Korea.

The only reason UK could move so quickly is because of independence. Contrast that with the EU/South America trade deal – negotiations started in 1999 and agreememt reached in 2019 – it still has not been ratified with the French looking like they will blow it up, after almost 30 years. Another interesting statistic is that the EU have pulled in more revenue from fines on tech companies than tax.

The economic future is east of the EU – the EU is finished, it just does not realise it yet.

It’s the southern second home owners in the sun, banging on joining the EU again.

Paperwork too difficult for them to fill out.

It’s never coming back they have to face it.

Europe isn’t out problem anymore, let them deal with France.

Pay attention unions. Labour are already doing that. They literally said it’s their primary foreign policy goal.

Yeah, keep up Trade Unions that’s a key part of Labours foreign policy.
