    >contradicting current-day calls from Republic of Ireland manager Heimir Hallgrimsson for away fans to be moved from their behind-the-goal position to make the stadium less inviting for away teams

Enormous amount of context missing from this statement. Hallgrimsson wants it less inviting for Danes/North Macedonians in a hypothetical play off final because as it stands they’re right on the pitch giving them a “home game” feel while our own fans sit in the uppers. It’s nonsense.

Neither Denmark nor North Macedonia are going to come here with large group of fascists.

  2. I was only reminded of this a week or so ago watching the end of the Joshua Paul fight

I dislike violence but the guards reaction to those scrotes and the final AJ punch are perfect examples of violence I’ll never ever get tired of watching

Jesus imagine the hiding that would have been dished out if the numbers were ‘sufficient’

No protective gear, just a cap and a bat and they hammered them out of the place.

A lot of today’s Guards wouldn’t be able to handle a tough physical altercation like that and intimidate the rioters with just their presence.

My dad was there, sitting directly underneath the hooligans. He was not long after having the hip done and he still doesn’t know how he managed to vault the barrier and get himself out on to the pitch when it all kicked off. We have some really spectacular photos from that night.
