I already knew most of this, and there is an alternative to the source of the word “Rus” which, IIRC, dealt with the Scandinavians working as the private bodyguards for the Byzantine emperor.
But I think the Finnish word for it is far more likely to be accurate.
Never seen the cliff notes on this, it’s well done.

The more we know, the better. Westerners dont generally bother to understand the history of the current political situation. Its a shame because ignorance is playing into the hands of the greedy and makes us all look like fools.
