Tbh I’ve stopped counting how many times YouTube has pushed investment scams like these directly into my feed as ads recently. Not only is it scary how these scammers go about it and recreate entire news websites like 20min, misuse the identities of well-known Swiss personalities and even set up fake comment sections. What worries me more is that Google even confirms the scammers behind these ads as “official advertisers”. I mean WTF?!
Sure, Advertisement is Google’s business model and many processes run fully automatically in the background without human oversight, but there has to be a way to stop such fraud attempts at an earlier stage… not only after the ad has been sent out to countless users! Some might say it’s your own fault if you fall for these kinds of scams, but there are naive and unfortunately desperate people out there who will fall for such offers. I think Google also has to take certain responsibility for pushing such content, especially when they make money on top of it.
The ad somehow caught me on the wrong foot today, which is why I wanted to hear your thought on it, maybe you’re having similar experiences with these kinds of ads.

even FBI says use adblock for your own safety. before some influencer raised kids wants to write ‘but you support your influencer’ go talk with your parents and ask them, why they didnt care about you.

Its funny that they copy 20 Minuten to look thrustworthy, especially the comment section trying to look actually helpful and friendly for once.

On the same screen where you can see the advertiser info, you should be able to press the button to report them as a scam. Think of it like reporting bad content on here to the mods. It’s literally impossible to catch everything up front, and user reports help to keep the whole place safer and cleaner.

recommend using YouTube with Brave Browser. No ads in my feed and videos. Uninstall the app though, to not get it opened automatically 👌🏼

It’s a normal thing for YT to do, they are actively working together with scammers all over the world. Check out the YT sub.
Google does a lot of things like that, they promoted in their Android app store fake crypto wallets that stole all cryptos from people that used it. There have been countless complains but they refused to delete it. They probably got a part of the stolen money.
It’s just easy money for them and as a huge cooperation they are above international laws anyway.
