  1. Now let’s see how they will babble about international law some more in the future when crap like this is done by some country not aligned with the US (and therefore Europe)

I mean, what can she say?

On one side, it’s a blatant kidnapping performed by the far right neofascist American regime.

On the other side, it’s a dictator aligned with Russia removed from power.

Only bad guys in this one.

  3. *sigh* They won’t do shit. It’s only a matter of time until the US armed forces “visit” Greenland for an extended stay to face an extra-strongly worded response from the EU Council.

Let the Americans kill each other. It’s not our problem.

There are no good guys here.

The big question is if Trump will move ahead and occupy Greenland. If this happens, it will be one if the toughest situations the EU had to deal with in its history.

Imagine if the world starts saying EU is funding American war in Venezuela by purchasing American Oil and Gas .

EU should stop purchasing American Oil and Gas to put pressure on America .

    >Reiterating the EU’s position regarding the need for transition in Venezuela, she said: “The EU has repeatedly stated that Mr Maduro lacks legitimacy and has defended a peaceful transition.”

Agreed, but this isn’t a peaceful transition. Putin is also not the legitimate president of Russia, since Russia has no free and fair elections. Or Orban, for that matter. Is Trump going to attack Moscow and Budapest and kidnap Putin and Orban, too? We all know the answer to that question.

And that’s because this isn’t about the legitimacy of Maduro. It isn’t about alleged drug smugglers. And it certainly isn’t about the people of Venezuela. Trump doesn’t give one flying fuck about the Venezuelan people.

This is about oil, money, distraction, and gaining (more) control over South and Central America. And North America, too.

To anyone still believing that the [National Security Strategy](https://www.theparliamentmagazine.eu/news/article/trumps-security-strategy-seeks-to-undermine-the-eu-and-strengthen-nationalists) was a joke: think again.

To all people cheering for this illegal action by the Trump administration; yes, Maduro is a thug, but this isn’t the way to deal with it. Putin will now feel emboldened to keep his war going in Ukraine. If anyone is complaining about it, he’ll simply point at Trump. End of discussion. This illegal attack on Venezuela and the kidnapping of Maduro will have global effects, and it will be felt in Europe, too. And not for the better.

Restraint, wtf. I know EU is powerless against daddy America but at least a condemnation?

It’s America they can do what they want so can Israel because America backs them. Just watch it on the news in horror and hope they stop, they won’t.

What a weak statement by Kaja. She should be tweeting about sanction packages and demanding to suspend trade with a terrorist state who illegaly invade neighboring countries.

  11. You don’t have to be a Maduro’s supporter to see what US has been doing to Venezuela is utterly ridiculous.

It’s one more example of how USA thrives on political instability in *other countries* while their own people are facing a shitload of problems because of their govt’s own erratic policies.

We will restraint ourselves into facing occupation of Greenland…

  13. Asia-Admirer1392 on

How about saying something like this: “We fully condemn the illegal US attack against Venezuela and the unlawful kidnapping of their President. Both of these actions are clear violations of International Law.”

  14. partymsl on

Hahah they are back with their strong words. 😂😂

Keep inventing new bottle necks instead.
