    One of my favorite Swiss traditions. But make yourself a favor and get the more expensive version from a bakery instead of the supermarket version – there is a major difference in the dough’s softness and dryness.

    Same here. It’s simple, traditional, and has real history behind it. The Dreikönigskuchen comes from the Epiphany tradition, linked to the Three Kings, with roots going back to Roman times. I like that it’s not just about the taste, but also about sharing, tradition, and that small moment of surprise with the king figurine.
