There is not much we can do, mate. Americans need to take their country back from evil billionaires. We should kick out their social media platforms and make our own tech companies asap.

  3. Suzumebachi14 on

We already can’t save ourselves, so saving the US…

  4. Dry_Row_7050 on

It is ironic that the intelligence Denmark illegally gathered about Europeans on behalf of the US is now likely being used by the US against Denmark itself.

Right. Time to “seize” Murica’s president, is that what he’s saying?

it’s time for Europe to become independent from USA, is time for us to move on. EU need to do something to make brand start to create even smartphone, laptopt, and all new techs we use, and even to create our space in internet like ASIA, where they have their local social and app and not only the American one, is time to Europe to move on and stop to let everything to USA

  7. Lopsided-Affect-9649 on

The US helped Europe out through its fascist crises and helped shield us from Russia for decades, we should be open to helping them in return. The problem is that they don’t seem to have any leadership over there, just a bunch of politicians pointing out the obvious, which makes providing assistance pretty fucking difficult.

Japan, can you please release Godzilla on US.

    Sincerely,
    The World.

Lol no, put your big boy pants on and deal with this tyranny like you guys have always said you would 🤨

  10. Major_Bag_8720 on

So back to the Cold War. Western Europe will revert to being US vassal states and Russia will dominate Eastern Europe again. We have to stop this from happening. EU, I’m British and I’m with you. Brexit was a horrible mistake.

  11. iamrobotjeans on

I say this as an American proudly living in Europe for 16 years. Europe needs to ask it’s self, what does the US really do for you, what do you get out of it? The answer is not much, maybe some security agreements in the past. Those are gone and I doubt they will ever come back and even if they did come back the American population has shown that it is so fickle it only takes 1 election to pull those promises away. It’s time to make yourself a global power not to be fucked with. 20th Century belonged to America, now make the 21st Century yours.

  12. Truffely on

I know some people from the us and most have a strict “no politics” rule. But maybe the Trump administration is more open to some feedback from Europe lol

Time to use that stupid gunlaw in case of stupid government.

Thats what that amament thing was made for.

  14. Skeng_in_Suit on

US’s worst enemy is itself. It’ll never be invaded nor conquered, it can only crumble on itself, and it has slowly started

  15. GilroySmash1986 on

With how things are going with the U.S. whenever theres “talks” between them and the E.U. I’m expecting to hear “the Rains of Castamere” at any moment. Trust has completely evaporated.

If Congress doesn’t step up soon, the USA has been transformed into a dictatorship.

  17. JustAhobbyish on

He not wrong, US strength comes from it alliances and allies. Time for Europe to step up and take it role as great alliance of power.

  18. Much-Jackfruit2599 on

For a moment I read this as “The US needs to save Europe from [Europe] itself”

  19. AiMwithoutBoT on

Billionaires rule the US. NO EUROPE NEEDS SAVING. Fuck amerikkka

  20. Americans hoarded all their guns for this exact moment right? Something about tyranical government and such?

  21. TremendousVarmint on

It makes sense from an American point of view, but if Europe is to get its act together and step up to the plate, it is precisely because the US institutions are unraveling right now. Is it is the absolute best interest of Europe to see the transatlantic relation restored to what was before Trump? I’m not sure about that.

  22. Paradoxjjw on

No, the US needs to save itself from itself. After all Trump has been doing the opposition’s stance is “sure fuck it we’ll vote to do whatever he wants”. You can’t save someone that doesn’t want to be saved.

  23. CharterJet50 on

Retired military need to all come out with the same message: that an order to take Greenland would be an illegal order and should not be followed. Put republicans in congress and force a vote on a bill that explicitly prohibits an attack or annexation of any sort. If republicans refuse, then it’s crystal clear their intentions, and Democrats should shut the government down end of January. Stop funding this monster. It’s the only way.

  24. d1ngal1ng on

The current American monster could never have existed without so many decades of European subservience. Europe should always have been counterbalance to American power.

  25. Impossible_Exit1864 on

Europe should strengthen the relations to Canada and the UK asap. This US drama is getting out of control fast.

  26. Awkward-Animator-101 on

Donald trump is a bully out of control with weak cowards hiding in his fat shadow

  27. R3dscarf on

Why would we? If Americans can’t even be bothered to show the slightest bit of resistance then they’re clearly fine with what’s happening to their country.

  28. UnholyLizard65 on

    >“Europe, for too long, has assumed that the United States would provide all of its protection.

Am I misremembering it or was it the US itself that pushed for weak European armies?

Edit: I should have said *pulled* instead of *pushed*. As in *pulled* the strings to make it happen.

  29. The loss of soft power is insanely big and I don’t think trump and his circle even understand the value of it. The USA had such a big power projection and control through it and it all just crumbles away so quickly under such a predident

  30. Pitipitibum2 on

The only positive thing is that due to the lack of finesse in actions we see what US foreign policy really looks like. For that, we thank Trump. For us, there is likely no going back. And now the question: is there a way out beyond federalization?

  31. HelicopterNo9453 on

They made global politics the school yard and think bullying is valid diplomacy.

  32. Ill_Conversation6145 on

There’s no need, eventually Americans will be forced to fight their own, it’s gonna get really spicy.

  33. War_Fries on

Also, delete X. Delete Facebook. Delete Whatsapp. Delete Threads. Delete TikTok.

You are not gong to die without these apps. If you give a crap about Europe, delete those apps. You do not need them. No one needs them.

  34. JoLeTrembleur on

Since it’s morally impossible to be allied with a pirate country, NATO died 3 days ago. And make no mistake, Trump and his clique did it just for that.

  35. Demigans on

USA: “Europe has to solve it’s own problems now, we ain’t paying”.

Also USA: “We need Greenland to protect ourselves from *checks notes* Russia. If only we had some alliance so we could just ask to place forces there *and* still rely on all the winter gear and winter training of our allies that vastly outnumbers our tiny and ill equipped arctic forces”

Also USA: “Yeah we’ve been preparing for a naval war with China and utterly failed to design and build a meaningful amount of small vessels, leaving a giant gap in our naval forces. If only we could rely on something like a treaty with allies to call in their small vessels and plug that gap…”

Just because the EU has Russia fighting on it’s doorstep does not mean that the USA isn’t more reliant on the alliances it made than the EU.

  36. The United States is going to become like the late Roman Empire where rampant corruption and excessive spending split the empire apart and caused the country to collapse.

  37. Ill-Orchid-5000 on

British here. If our wet fart leader Starmer would have pulled 1% of Trumps shit he would have been out a long time ago. This is all on the American population who are are looking out for themselves. There should be 20 million of you on the streets to get him out but you aren’t it’s pathetic.

I can’t even watch American shows or films seriously anymore . I now look at America as weak built on a myth of strength . Why are all your ex marines, ex fbi , ex cia keeping quiet where are all your supposed Rambos??. Why are you all turning a blind eye.

As an Austrlaian in my late 20s I have accepted I’ll never get a chance to go to the US. With everything collapsing in it it feels about as safe going to Russia or Saudi Arabia as an openly gay man.

It’s sickening to see a one great ally turn into a feral, child SAing beast. The fact it seems viable we could need to view the US as an enemy in my lifetime and them to be untrusted for at least 12 years after the current POS in office is gone sickens me. It’ll take at least 3 good meaning and effective presidents to get people to even consider making nice with them.

The world is truely a scary place and I’ve honestly never felt more afraid about the world and life in general. Historical times and watching a massive nation’s spiral decay/ decline is horrible to be apart of.

  42. Scared-Room-9962 on

It’s not just the American government we can’t trust, it’s the people themselves.

    They fucking voted for this.

And they can all say “actually I didn’t vote for this” but so what? Enough did.

Would you eat a random apple if there was a 50% chance it’d kill you?
