Lidl has done this kind of “deal” marketing and especially a lot in the recent times. There are also some fake ones, so pay attention when shopping in Lidl:
Electric price tags and automatic pricing systems.
And obviously their settings are such that they rather have 3 cents of than 0.

Wow, I haven’t bought minced meat in ages, since when has it been 17 e/kg?! I know this is the more expensive 10% fat stuff, but still…

As a Dane I must admit that I enjoy seeing “Malet Svin”.

Also Lild switched their “near best before and clearance” discount from 30% to 20%…
So classy, lost a *lot* of interest/incentive for me visiting them beyond from time to time going in and grabbing strictly what I came for.
When I made my most recent grocery order from Prisma, my cart showed that there was a special offer for an item that I buy every week. Instead of 1,95€, it was discounted to 1,95€.

Lidl has veggies constantly on Sale, and those things stay fresh for so long. I ate a 3-month old Apple The other Day from Lidl, IT was perfectly fine still.

Is nice that companies can play with our brain vulnerabilities like that 👏

There should be a law that no discount or offer should be mentioned unless the product is at least 5% off. The current practice is misleading the customer.

(Halvempi = cheaper, which in this case is false).
Hey, now. The sign says 350g but you’re getting 400g. That’s quite a deal if you ask me 🙂
There’s discount of 0.01 cents or even 0.00 discounts in some cases as seen here: https://i.imgur.com/VX1GPyV.jpg
I’m not sure if store managers or even corporate bean counters check those prices before sending it for printouts.
