      Het is bijna alsof er een trend is te bespeuren doorheen de geschiedenis:

      Somewhat BV (die al dan niet om verklaarbare redenen aan zijn bekendheid is geraakt) wordt ingezet als marketingtool voor een product waar niemand om vroeg en dat product is enkel gemaakt om ‘voor een zo laag mogelijke productiekost visueel ietwat te lijken op wat het moet voorstellen maar vooral niet inhoudelijk iets te betekenen’ en dat wordt dan aan bovennormale prijs verkocht.

      Even later op het internet: “Drommels, het was niet lekker noch van acceptabele waarde.”

      I mean first-off, never buy products that are celebrity-endorsed. These tend to be worse than usual and “need that push” in order to meet some sales target.

      Then… Vol-au-vent on a sandwich, which I assume would be cold by the time you eat it… yeah, that does taste like puke.. I dunno whose dumb idea it was to try this, but eww.

      Damn, the hate for average rob in this thread is weird.

      It’s one of the (maybe the only) Belgian/flemish influencers who’s content is a bit decent.
      He’s also got popular at a decent pace, photoshopping himself into funny pictures since 2015, getting retweeted by Obama. And worked his way up from there.

      And yes, mainstream media likes to find their new BVs on social media, but you can’t blame him for doing nothing and just using his fame to get more famous.

      There are a lot more new BVs out there that achieved almost nothing and also get airplay for just being alive.

      ETA; I have no opinion on the sandwich, never ate it. Just give me a regular videe with fries or kroketten, and I’m your friend.

      I’ve overheard Panos workers say that it’s also a nightmare to prepare, and when someone asks for it, it creates an immense backlog of orders

      Havent tried it but genuinly curious, what was bad about it? Anything that goes well with fries probably also goes well with a good french roll imo so what killed it in this case? ignoring the hate towards panos and average rob, lets say someone made this at home with fresh ingredients, would it still be bad or as bad?

      tried it once, wasn’t that bad imo, wouldn’t pay for it again but happy I tried it. way better than quicks vol au vent burger at least.

      This is why you pay a lot more for a sandwich BTW. They are raising their prices to finance ‘marketing stunts’ just like this. Or the ‘Dimitri Vegas and like Mike’ burger in McDonald’s. I rather have them not do these stunts and just bring back the OG eurodeals.

      Puke in a bread is indeed an accurate description. Also, why add mayo? It is already a saucy heavy mess. I left that out and then it was all right.
