It’s a bit sad that no other country has joined us.
But I’m always happy when we bear arms alongside Barry!

Crimean War vibes
Nice of those countries closer to Russia not to bother.
All NATO countries should send forces to Ukraine in event of a peace deal, not just the UK and France saving Europe’s ass.
Foreign troops, or any tangible security guarantees, will never be accepted by Putin. The only peace deal he’s interested in is one which makes it easier to invade again in the future.
I feel like Germany could of joined especially in peace, I hope this is not an indicator for greenland
Gee, great. Now all we need is a peace treaty. Piece of cake, right?
Poland should absolutely join them: not as a major force, but also not only as logistics, our military presence is actually crucial there. It’s true we should mostly focus on our own Eastern flank as we’re the major force here, it’s true that there are internal political issues we haven’t dealt with and a wide opposition to that. But in the long run even for our own security it’s important for our own military to be there on the ground and know the situation firsthand. Even if the darkest scenario happens and we refocus on our own borders, it’s still crucial for our army to know the situation on the ground in Ukraine. Tusk saying today that at least a small part of our special forces could follow would be actually a pretty important statement…
To properly defend the Polish borders and the Eastern flank of NATO/EU there is also a need of Polish soldiers on the ground in Ukraine. This is something our armed forces actually understand, half of society doesn’t but again, absolutely everyone in Poland has a PhD in national security these days 😛
Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more. How depressing is it that we live in such times as these.
Join us you cowards!
Sort of performative. All of this is based on if a peace deal or ceasefire is reached and one that doesn’t explicitly forbid this or restrict Ukraine’s sovereignty. There’s virtually no reason for Russia to accept any peace deal they can’t dictate now.
Great! Now for the love of God order some bloody equipment for the army so that it can actually be a credible fighting force there.
I can hear the ‘nyet!’ being repeated for hours already along with a lot of huffing, puffing, nuclear threats against everything and repeats of maximalist demands…
This is stupid. They are giving Putin more incentive to continue the war indefinitely.
What they should do is to start giving Ukraine actual military support now, for example by using their air force to help defend against Russian cruise missiles. But they are too cowardly for that.
I didn’t expect anything from us but I am still disappointed
Not a single new country, except the uk and france, have offered troops and we should not be doing this alone.
If nobody else steps up, what’s the point? If America doesn’t want to send troops we can use the Berlin plus agreement.
Thank you Great Britain, you are my best friend,
You are the peacekeeper, you are the legend.
What the hell, if brothers and sisters are going, let’s all go!
But Russia will never sign peace, so what next?
Why don’t they send troops now?
“Intent” lmao
UK and France have always had each other’s backs in the end. Being both British and French I am proud.
I absolutely believe that if NATO intervened in Ukraine today, full shibang, ground air and sea, they could push the Russians out of Ukraine in the space of a month. Do it operation desert shield style, without invading Russia itself. Putin is a bully and only understands the language of force.
Based Brits 🇬🇧🤝🇫🇷
You never have to send forces to Ukraine if the war is not going to end anytime soon!
(insert thinking black guy meme)
Easy to commit to that when you know there won’t be peace before your next election, and you know you’ll get pounded right out of office.
Looks more like the coalition of the unwilling. The ‘answers’ to the journalists questions afterwards was a masterclass in political waffle, not one of them would say boo to the Americans present regarding Greenland – what a mess we are in and a shower they are.
So, within the European Union, only France will be in Ukraine.
That speaks volumes about the power of the EU.
What a shock. Down to us and the French Foreign Legion. Anyone else in Europe feel like stepping up? Nope. What a shock.
Just us and France…what the actual fuck Europe.
Everyone should remember that a DOI is just a pledge, it is not an iron-clad requirement for the UK and France to deploy troops.
