Putin, like every other economically savvy dictator, knows that increased taxes are the key to growth in a country that uses a third of its budget on the military.

Oh, there are many more budget cuts. Like cutting the utility subsidy for people living in the siberia (to help people survive in the cold). And suspending the program for resettling people from the delipitated housing. The government sector in industry is given tax cuts as a form of subsidy. Salaries are being delayed, people are bing put on mandatory 4 or 3 day a week schedule, with the decrease of pay of course. One of the regions up north have failed to buy a sufficient coal stockpile to provide heating through the winter, due to budget constraints. Russia is in shambles if you actually look closely. I suggest reading some Moscow Times for a change.

  3. Those oil prices must hurt like hell

All the money from the saving fund should be (nearly) empty by now. I wonder how Russia wants to continue

    Putin this Putin that.
It seems their country does not have people to demand. They have slaves.
Every Russian should be ashamed of themselves. Do a rebellion, remove this guy from the Kremlin.

Lol…Reason why Russia exhumed graves in Russia and Jerusalem says STFU and STHD…raised eyebrows…

  6. There was never any real growth. The “growth” in question was Putin forcing banks to lend money to military production companies and then buying these weapons through state budget. These loans will NEVER be repayed. The moment war stops, this house of cards will crumble.

here it comes lol. probably doesn’t help that the us is considering increasing oil production in venesuela which is sure to drive prices down even lower.

You know the Toy Story where Andy drops Woody and says, “I don’t want to play with you anymore”. I think this is the shift that is happening now between United States and Russia. I don’t think Trump has any further interest dealing with Russia because he has Venezuela oil now, which means that he doesn’t care for Russia oil or what they have to offer.

    “Growth”😂👍🏼
Surely these numbers already include all the war pensions widows and children will be denied due to their husbands and dads being registered MIA instead of completeley mauled in action

    Picture this:

Russian people, grow some balls and remove the gremlin in the kremlin

Good. It’s only when russia will be so bankrupt that they can’t afford to pay for new weapons, thus not paying the manufacturers, which in turn won’t be able to pay their employees salary, that russia will be in deep shit. I don’t expect any kind of revolt from the people, they’re either too brainwashed or too scared to do so, but I don’t see the employees of the weapon makers working for free.

Da Comrade, In Russia we pay taxes to fund mighty machine and crush western capitalist pigs that oppress our great freedoms.

  14. Been happening for some time. Last year over a period of 6 months some of the taxes doubled and the rate of increase is accelerating even as the take plunges.

Sooner or later they will kill their own economy. Currently, it appears that the vast majority of business owners are already at the point of not knowing how they can stay in business ~~next~~ this year, at least according to the contacts of the economists I listen to.

And then there will no military money, or as good as.

I never understood why Europeans such as Germany, the UK, France, will talk so much crap about Russia’s economy when theirs is in the shitters as well and doesn’t look like it will be recovering in the near future.

Its like a homeless person laughing at someone who just their home.

Lol remember when Putin swept in and snagged Zelensky in less than 12 hours and didn’t start a war that lasted 4 years and killed over 1 million of his own people? Oh wait, that was the US never mind.
