Can’t believe this is still going on. An island with a cap.

Shouldn’t be flying to that fascist shit hole anyway. No loss.

Is this cap due to capacity or what’s the logic behind it? Sorry, might be a stupid question.

Dublin badly needs a second and even third airport. The one and only airport we have isn’t enough. Full stop.

Going to need some more information here

“A4A is compelled to file this complaint because Ireland continues to violate EU regulations and the United States-European Union Air Transport Agreement (US-EU ATA),” the complaint filed on Tuesday read.

“Specifically, the Irish Government seeks to impose a local infrastructure planning condition restricting the number of passengers at Dublin Airport to 32 million passengers per annum, which will result in the withdrawing of US carrier historical slots at Dublin Airport.”

Don’t see what case they have. If an airport can’t handle more traffic than you can’t force traffic into it. Heathrow have had the same capacity issues for years.

Would it be possible to renegotiate the cap to increase it but not outright remove it

A combination of improved roads since the cap

And an additional 1 million people living in the country

I mean if Ireland does make it to the WC surely they gotta increase the cap to the fans over to Mexico

Time for a new airport anyway. Some new options, new routes.

Dublin Casement International Airport. Just needs some jazzing up.

Our Airfix air corps can go elsewhere.
