Nell’edificio in cui viviamo (che ha meno di 10 anni), abbiamo questi filtri dell’aria sopra ogni (grande) finestra. Quando ci siamo trasferiti, il concierge ci ha detto che è importante non interferire con loro, poiché assicurano che l’aria nell’appartamento circoli; hai capito. Tuttavia, poiché fuori sta diventando più freddo, ho notato una corrente d’aria quando mi trovavo al centro di una stanza, proveniente dalla parte superiore dei filtri. Quando metti la mano sopra l’apertura, senti entrare un vento forte e freddo, con la forza di un piccolo ventaglio. Viviamo all’ultimo piano, su un lato senza edifici adiacenti, quindi altri vicini sembrano avere questo problema. Con questo freddo è diventato così forte che abbiamo il riscaldamento al massimo, e a volte fa ancora freddo quando torno a casa.
Ora ho tappato i fori di questi filtri e (ovviamente) non entra più vento freddo e l’appartamento si sta riscaldando bene.
La mia domanda è; qualcuno riconosce questi filtri, o anche questo problema e inoltre, ciò influisce sulla respirabilità dell’aria in qualche modo negativo (pericoloso)?

They’re for ventilation. They allow fresh air into your apartment. Most apartments in buildings are connected to a building wide exhaust fan in the bathrooms/kitchen/etc where air is sucked out of the apartment. You want to leave these free to work as designed as they keep the air fresher in the apartment. Covering them puts stress on the window and door seals since the exhaust fan does not stop because you covered them up and the air has to come in from somewhere – for example you might notice your windows or door kind of blow open as soon as you unlock them if you seal all these vents up.

most likely. vents are generally only there if the house would otherwise be air tight. that means elevated CO2 and moisture levels that might lead to mold if they’re blocked off. exhaust fans in kitchens and bathrooms also won’t work properly anymore.
