  1. they can fuck off NATO then

It will be smaller with just Canada and Europe, but at least there will be trust between members

The US military is in full breach of their oath and legal/constitutional obligation to protect and defend the constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic. They are sitting idly by as congress is broken and refusing to impeach and remove trump (dems don’t have enough votes and republicans are fascists and nazis), and allow a nazi fascist president to remain in power. The people leading and participating in what is happening including trump need to be charged with treason and convicted.

Take Greenland and tank your US economy. EU will start selling off US debt and crater the dollar. Next up EU will stop buying things with the dollar. Good luck paying off your debts.

It might be a choice between robbing your neighbour or having good relations with them – wisdom of Donald Trump in 2026

  5. Why are the American people letting this orange toddler do whatever he wants?

Isn’t there a system in place to remove bad presidents, that plunge the US and the rest of the world into the abyss?

  6. DonGibon87 on

If he had to say that out loud than i guess we know what’s more important for him

  7. Ah yes starting a military conflict with all of your (former) allies is absolutely pivotal for national security /s

I don’t understand people. Russia and America are the same shit. By the time we understand that for our survival we must arm ourselves to the teeth against these countries, it will be too late.

It’s one thing to strong-arm NATO countries into getting military budgets up to par (which is a good thing, regardless of the method), but this whole “tough negotiating” angle kinda goes off the rails when you’re, you know, threatening to invade your fellow military alliance members. A long way between “we’ll abandon the alliance if others don’t do their part” and “maybe we’ll take Danish land by force, because fuck you”

Aka “Gimme Greenland or I’ll break NATO and the world order, probably causing WW3 too”.

Good to see MAGAs get what they so much whined about; “oh, noes – can’t support Ukraine, that will lead to WW3!!”.

Instead they get Felon Rapist-in-Chief who starts it for greed.

At any rate it seems that everyone is in need of a NATO to defend against USA. Like the old Sovjet, they are fucking dangerous.

Remember Nazi appeasement and where that went. If you give a mouse a cookie…

  13. Just a reminder that after 9/11 Article 5 of the NATO treaty was invoked and the allies helped the USA. It’s the only time that article 5 has ever been used.
NATO allies also followed the USA into the wars that it started afterwards at great cost of lives lost snd money wasted.

With allies like the USA who needs enemies?

    From the article:

*Trump, when asked why he wanted the U.S. to control Greenland, said: “Because that’s what I feel is psychologically needed for success. I think that ownership gives you a thing that you can’t do with, you’re talking about a lease or a treaty. Ownership gives you things and elements that you can’t get from just signing a document.”*
*The U.S. president also told the Times he did not feel answerable to international law and was constrained only by his own conscience. “My own morality. My own mind. It’s the only thing that can stop me,” he said.*
*“I don’t need international law,” he added.*

This coming from a man without morals besides greed and narcissm, and in control of the strongest military of the world is devastating.

If he chooses to preserve Nato.
He will demand the Nobel (oh sorry) Noble Peace Price for not starting WW3.

  16. mor_di69420 on

He will dissolve the US international reputation as an ally for all foreseeable future for no tangible gain. No one will ever trust it as a security partner anywhere. Britain understood this in 1914 when they went to war over Belgian neutrality.

But i think for Europe, it will be a blessing disguised as a curse. There can be no more illusions of normalcy returning. No more “Daddy Trump”. It is probably a hard road ahead for Europe the next years, but if handled correctly, there is a real chance of coming out stronger on the other side.

  17. Opposite-Cranberry76 on

It’s entirely about destroying NATO. I think that’s was the purpose he was put there for. It’s his assigned mission, whether he knows it or not.

  18. TheKnightsRider on

Are we only being shown what the media want us to see? Why are we not hearing anything from opposition parties or other figure heads? Its seems silent like they’re all complicit

  19. If Trump attacks Greenland all the US military personnel in other NATO countries will become prisoners of war. The US will lose access to those bases and no longer be able to project power in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and parts of Asia. Trump’s work for Putin will be almost done. He will have turned the USA from being a global superpower into a regional one. Then he just has to complete his destruction of the US economy and culture, and his job will be done.

Germany, if you are reading this, you have to put an arrest warrant out for Elon musk. He is funding your Afd new nazi party. He wants to do what he did to the US to Germany. Shut him down before it’s too late. Ban all his businesses too.

  21. Niktodt1 on

Just imagine the parties they will be throwing in Kremlin when this happens.

  22. Cute_Ad_9730 on

The arrogance that NATO can’t continue without USA is ridiculous. The rhetoric and actions of the US are getting extremely close to a declaration of war on numerous sovereign countries. It’s time for Europe to declare they will stand militarily united against any aggression.

Deep Trump thoughts… should I betray an ally or cooperate

Plot twist: Denmark leases Greenland to China for a period of 3 years

  25. Nytalith on

So the choice is between annexing piece of land from friendly country, the piece where they already have their military bases and probably could easily negotiate expanding them.

And between destroying oldest and most powerful military alliance in the world. Alliance that helps USA project their power, provides them with tons of $$ via weapon sales. Alliance that was called only once – by the USA. Alliance that has the richest and most developed countries in the world.

    Yeah, really a tough choice.

Does this person not have any sane advisor? Or are they all as stupid as him?

  27. Have you guys read his recent interview? He says he *doesn’t need international law* and that his power is *constrained only by his own morality*.

Where have we heard these things before, eh?

Europe might be fucked, but the US is *fuckeder*.
