Shipped a Vinted order on 28th Dec. Last tracking update was 1st. Nothing since. Have a few other things posted around similar dates that also haven’t arrived yet.
Much like so much of this country, they’re set up to operate efficiently in normal circumstances, but the slightest bit of increased pressure and the entire system caves in.

Got something I ordered from Amazon Black Friday in the post only this week! Item was dispatched on the 6th December and arrived in Ireland on the 13th. No update for 3 weeks then suddenly it’s out for delivery.
…also got a few Christmas cards after Christmas.
Wouldn’t want to be waiting for anything important.

Staff shortages, sickness – flu is rampant.
And it’s meant to be a poisonous place to work, with relief staff in particular treated very unfairly, so retention is bad.

I got 7 on Tuesday, of varying postal dates, the earliest being 28th November (which was already refunded as lost). The postie told me that they were holding packages in the depot before sending them on to the local hubs because of the volume.
Know a few lads working there, said they were trailers being used for storage over the Christmas period, just crammed full of parcels, the mail centre itself was just about able to cope.
Have to say to their credit, anything I ordered arrived bang on time.

I’m waiting on a package that was sent from Cavan in December but wasn’t tracked & still waiting on it.. actually sick of seeing news articles saying that all backlog will be delivered this week cos clearly it’s not or else they lost my package which is more annoying 😫

They seem to be completely overwhelmed post Christmas. The normally reliable “we will deliver your parcel next working day” text isn’t accurate at all right now. It can be 2 or 3 working days after the text.

Likely to also be connected to the fact they’ve let loads and loads of staff go, particularly through redundancies, in the last few years including closing a whole mail centre in Cork. Now their service has gotten exponentially worse because of capacity issues. Funny that.

I’m waiting for stuff ordered from the states on 10 Nov, it arrived in the country on the 8th Dec, got a custom payment notification 3rd Jan which I paid same day, still not out for delivery.
