      Would really rather not withdraw from the World Cup as I am a big football fan but if America invades Greenland or any other sovereign EU territory and other European countries also agree, I’d begrudgingly support boycotting it.

      If Denmark manages to qualify and then actually plays in the world cup, I refuse to believe we take our own country seriously anymore

      Denmark needs to boycott, provided we aren’t already at war by next summer

      Of course the FA finally makes the sensible decision of hiring a foreign cup speciality manager for the World Cup but at the worst possible time. As much as it’d pain me as a football fan, I really don’t want us helping to sportswash Trump’s America.

      Given one of the three hosts is threatening to invade the other two, and technically has invaded one of them, alongside the terror squads kidnapping minorities, I’d be amazed if the world cup goes ahead at all.

      I get that the WC is a huge thing. But all of Europe should drop out.

      Today the US crossed yet another line.

      Their ICE agents are now entering homes with no warrant.

      They are blocking off entire blocks so people can’t enter or leave and entering every house.

      It’s now or never world. Either we fight for democracy or we lose it. So I guess it’s time to decide if football is more important than democracy.

      USA is meant to host a rugby world cup as well in 2031 or something like that I doubt anyone would wanna go to it if trump is still in power.

      All of Europe and Latin America should withdraw from the World Cup. Ruining Trump’s World Cup would be more meaningful and impactful than Europe’s presumably weak leaders think.

      Good idea. Not just out of defense of NATO but could even do it simply for supporting/enabling a broad daylight genocide and trying to gaslight everyone about it. Fucking degenerates.
