That’s very good news. The ONLY way to regain social cohesion for the long term.

Very good news for Denmark and Sweden. Hopefully more will follow.

Fifteen to twenty years too late, but I guess better late than never.

LOL. Migration numbers are down in other countries as well.

  6. Yeah and as many said the far-right is over in these countries…

Oh wait 2 far-right parties poll 18% together, as much as the social democrats in Denmark who went from 25 to 18% in the polls

Well at least in Sweden… oh wait the far-right is the second largest party surpassing the moderates..

Maybe the far-right rises due to multiple complex issues? Nah it’s just due to immigration

I fucking hate this brain dead take

The reminds me of how we were gaslit for years that pull factors such as social welfare or lenient immigration politics weren’t a factor at all, defying all common sense.

Headline: Stricter immigration policies lead to historic low migration
Article content: Limiting the amount of incoming refugees
A misleading headline, making conclusions based on a small fraction of immigration.
    Example:

    >In 2024, Denmark, with a population of six million, took in only 860 of the 2,333 asylum requests filed that year.

Number of people immigrating to Denmark in 2024: 83216 (Source: national bureau of statistics), so a bit over 1% of immigrants that year were refugees granted asylum.

Grouping Denmark and Sweden in this case makes no sense. For years their immigration policy was very different. Denmark had, and still has a very strict immigration policy. Sweden used to have a very welcoming and lax immigration policy but recently they have tightened it up a lot and as such they see less immigration.

  10. It’s like we are tired of people coming here to take benefit of the system and not wanting to contribute

Almost 90000 people received residence permits last year in Sweden. That’s not ”historic low migration”.
