Many soldiers have not been issued gear good enough for these temperatures or if they have, it has been wrecked and needs replacement. The Latin American volunteers are especially vulnerable as for almost all of them this is their first time in winter and they are not accustomed to these temperatures or snow.
It will keep the vatnik’s all nice and frozen for the spring thaw. Then they will make nice mulch for the next sunflower harvest.
