OTD: Il 13 gennaio 1991, l’esercito sovietico compie un massacro a Vilnius, in Lituania, uccidendo 14 persone. La gente è scesa in piazza per proteggere le infrastrutture vitali dal regime sovietico che ne riaffermava il controllo.

It should be noted that Russians frequently reffer to this as Soviets “letting” the Baltics leave USSR. Murdering 14 people and injuring hundreds of people in Vilnius alone does not even register for them as Soviets trying to hinder Baltic independence.
