Does the UK have any sort of government related ID? It just seems insane to me that the US doesn’t really have that for example. Like, you could just get a drivers license from God knows who and then do whatever, how is that ‘sane’.
In Germany, you get a government-issued ID to prove that you’re an actual citizen. In Denmark, healthcare is governed by the state, so the healthcare card takes care of that etc.

I don’t get it. You want illegals out but not try to have some kind of ID to identify foreigners without a working permit? Can somebody explain this to me? How is one supposed to identify an ‘illegal alien’ in the UK?
