We need much tighter controls on all state owned / supported companies.
Having boards stacked with political appointees doesn’t help.
Eens benieuwd wat de werknemers (niet-managers of kaderpersoneel) van infrabel mag doen als teambuilding en wat de budgetten zijn…

I’m wondering how many of the managers actually enjoyed it. There must be plenty managers who don’t care for lady gaga.
70k, 200 employees.. €350 per employee for a team building. Quite steep, but not exceptionally high in my opinion. Nowadays catering for a lunch already costs €100 per head. In contrast: employing these people probably costs 20 million per year.
Is it the best way to spend that money? Probably not. You could get a lot more value for money. I also think that people are very quick to be angry about “their tax payer money”. Meanwhile, there are _billions_ being thrown in the sink everywhere else (how many government IT projects are currently in the process of failing?). It pales in comparison. Just seems strange that this is the one that riles people up.
Bediende of niet, ik vind dat iedere werknemer recht heeft op bedrijfseventen en dergelijke. Maar er moet echt wel een grens zijn. Zo veel ten koste van het belastingsgeld, terwijl de NMBS maandelijks staakt is gewoon een slap in the face.
