Jesus fucking Christ. My country has gone fulllll Nazi. This is unamerican as fuck. We are an immigrant country. They’ve all lost their damn minds
The language was confusing in the article I read. It mentioned directions to reject applications if applicants were deemed likely to become public charges, etc. In other words, enforce their existing guidelines.
But then in the next paragraph they say indefinite suspension of processing. Which is it? If they’re going to be rejecting at least some applications, it means they’re going to be processing them. But supposedly processing will be frozen, which to me means processing will be halted.
It’s for immigrant visas from countries deemed “high risk of using welfare services”
Tourist visas and certain limited business visas are exempt from this
