Not sure who is the bigger scumbag in this situation, the detectorist who’s holding out for a ridiculous payday (defo deserves something for it, but 3.5 mill?), or whoever might want to buy it just to hide it from the world in a private collection.

Technically it isn’t worth anything. Any price is holding it to ransom.
