Troy Parrott is not a good lad, despite being good at kicking a football.

He’s connected to a lot of bad people who have done a lot of harm to working class communities in Ireland.

Yet again we learn the lesson that someone isn’t necessarily sound just because they’re famous and Irish.

Breaking news: being good at a sport doesn’t automatically make someone a good person. More on this after the break

This is old news, wasn’t it in Ibiza and Evan Ferguson was there too?

Where did they get that realistic mannequin? Oh wait…

This was from months ago and he got rightly criticised at the time. Why is it being dragged up now?

All we can hope for is that he (and Evan) has screwed his head on since and know now to have good people.around them.

But dragging it up randomly for some attention is simply stirring shit for the sake of stirring shit.

There is a reason why AZ aren’t getting the door knocked down for this lad. Bad company

Being good at football doesn’t make you a good person. There’s better people around that our young people should be looking up to.

Just focus on him scoring goals for Ireland. Surely we’ve learned our lesson of putting prominence on sports personalities?

This was last summer. I’m sure he’s been schooled to not hang around with those sorts again for his own sake.

I need to wash the STD from my eyes and phone screen now. That filth is vile.

The gatekeeping over being seen with Conor McGregor is wild on this. It’s a photo of a group of people in a social setting like any of the millions you see of groups of people on a night out; it’s not a formal one to one business meeting. People can make their own mind up on who they decide to be friendly or sociable with when on a night out….the campaigning to try to demonise Troy and Evan here is ridiculous

  13. Stop putting sports stars on pedestals.

Were the lads who were the absolute best at football when you were young also super sound, empathetic, humanitarian, environmentalist, feminists? If so you went to a very different school to me.

The stink of fake tan, aftershave overuse and protein breath in that room must be palpable.

Sh*t stirring bringing up an old photo trying to tear down the biggest success story out of inner city Dublin for years, a man who against all odds has overcome people like you tearing him down and gave the country the best sporting moment in a decade.

He’s an inspiration to a generation of young Irish kids.

Go write for the daily mail. No time for this six months after the fact.

Ireland gets tunnel vision when it comes to successful Irish footballers 🤷‍♂️
