L’UE frena il “bazooka” commerciale mentre cerca una soluzione diplomatica con gli Stati Uniti sulla Groenlandia

I hope they defined exactly when they will pull the trigger. I’m ok with a diplomatic solution, but only when carrying a big stick, and making sure everyone knows when and how you’ll use that stick.

As long as they will actually use the bazooka when the diplomatic solutions fail. You can’t threaten something and not do it when your redline is crossed.

As a Californian i’m in complete support of Europe slapping the shit out of America however it sees fit. This administration has turned us into an awful, bad joke and I truly hate that my country is on the wrong side of these bad decisions. Sigh.

What diplomatic solution? US clearly said they want to take Greenland the easy way or the hard way. They start another tariff war because they know EU is all talk no bite. 

For FUCK’S sake!

Just do something already! Stop with the planning, and talking and concepts and nonsense!

Do something! Anything!

I’m not entirely sure how much diplomacy there is to be done here realistically.

Either you accept the tariffs as they are and show Europe to be as weak, spineless and divided as its reputed to be, or you hit them back with tariffs in return, or the bazooka if need be.

Any negotiating or compromising on this issue is appeasement, pure and simple. We’re talking about a third party using extortion to try and directly influence the foreign policy of numerous EU member states. If they don’t stand up against that then as far as I’m concerned then the EU truly deserves to die and we will need to try and cobble together something else.

EU is the only region in the world that can leverage its power and use it against the USA. However, it needs all the countries to support such a decision.

For about 20 years, we (the EU) have been the victims of the USA’s political and economic disasters. This needs to change and Europe can and should count in its own power!

If I were negotiating from Europe, I would say;

”It’s too bad that America now has to pay more for our products. We will miss you as customers, we loved doing business with you but we’ve noticed your good have been dropping in quality and prices appear to be growing. See you later if you decide to be back in business. Take care of yourself and until next time we meet.”

Well that was fast… cowards, as always.

Just like with Putin, there is only one kind of diplomacy he’ll understand. The hard one.

A broken deal is a broken deal. Hit back hard.

Can we stop with this bullshit already?

I say it’s high time we fire this bad boy “bazooka” at the fat old orange turd. He’s done enough fucking around, it’s time for him to find out. 15% tariffs on all US goods, a few thousand NATO troops to Greenland and the setup of necessary equipment to keep his fat useless Cheeto fingers out of the arctic.

What diplomatic solution?

The answer to the USA is no, there is nothing to negotiate. I am so sick and tired of the complete lack of spine in Brussels.

Yeah, you can’t talk it over now, especially after you acted like a cowards before and accepted tarrifs without fighting back.

Eurocrats let Trump walk all over them once why wouldn’t he think they will let him do it again?

As someone that lives in the US, I propose this diplomatic solution: The US keeps its hands off other countries. Problem solved
