Crikey, I agree with Ed Milliband on something.

Trump mouths off constantly. How much of it should be taken seriously is anyone’s guess. It’s not a model of government to emulate.

The people criticising his lacklustre public responses where he says nothing don’t necessarily want him to spend his time being sassy on Twitter.

  3. Trump actually wants to provoke reactions as he thrives on conflict with “enemies” so you definitely should avoid playing that game with him. If you want to hurt Trump ignore him whenever you can.

Trump wants arguments with world leaders because seeing him call someone Emmanuel “snivelling” Macron or whatever stupid nicknames he uses gets the rednecks and hillbillies yee-hawwing and chorteling and forgetting that cost of living is going through the roof, measels is back, Trump promising to help iran only to get cold feet leading to thousands being murdered and the fact he’s in the Epstein Files.

You cannot “Out-Crazy” Trump and nobody should even try.

I’m reminded of the quote attributed to Mark Twain, although I’ve never seen the actual original context so take with as much salt as you would anything on the internet:

    >“Never argue with an idiot. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.”

Totally agree that it won’t help Starmer or the UK to get dragged into name calling or insults. go down to the level of an idiot and they will beat you with being the better idiot as has been said.

All that being said, Starmer does need to sometimes hit back in a more forceful way, simply for his own domestic audience here in the UK. He is perceived as being grey and dull, a spirted barb now and again might help his popularity at home.

Silence would wind the tangoed pedophille so much more – he wants reactions, he’s like a toddler.

    Keir Sad Starmer?

    Keir Killer Starmer?

I’m just wondering what classic Trump insult he’ll use in the next few days.

  9. Anyone thinking we should just meekly put our heads down and wait for this blow over is insane. America is no longer our ally. We need to take immediate action to begin the long, difficult process of disentangling our military and economybfrom them.

Mark Carney has the right idea, not this fawning arse-kissing that the government are engaging in. Either we work with other middle powers, or we get swallowed whole by the wolves.

I rather see our PM focus on running our country.

Granted, it may be into the ground but it’s been in freefall for quite a while.
