Imagine signing up for a job in a normal hotel and then one day getting told that “Actually we’re housing asylum seekers now. They’re all unvetted young men who entered the country illegally and mostly come from countries where women don’t have any rights and showing skin or talking to a man other than a family member is a sure sign you’re asking for it. Anyway, see you for your shift on Monday!”
Fuck that, I’d be out of there like a shot.

I don’t understand why women still choose to work in asylum hotels. It’s clearly an unsafe work environment in general, and particularly for women.
