Well, apparently they are realizing that we do have the cards…

  4. Its like he doesn’t know that you cannot tell pension funds what they chose to invest in?

  5. Mista_Panda on

They need to tell him : “Either they dump you… or we dump them !”

Will retaliate by increasing taxes on US products, that we want to stop using?

And what EU does is not decided by one buffoon at the top. People do.

    Ooh shut up Donnie.

At this Point the USA feels like one giant GTA-Online Server filled with angry 13 year olds.

  8. “Trump threatens to crap his pants again if he isn’t given a golden pacifier.”

I thought we were too insignificant to make a difference? Why even bother? Why do you care about our chump change?

Okay now we know how Europe got him to back down on Greenland

  13. Mormegil71 on

He can’t stop that with threats.

If the snowball starts rolling on the markets, everyone, including american companies/funds will do it.

The only thing to do is to act reponsibly. Threats like that are not.

    Trump: We don’t need Europe

Strange EU wasn’t the useless power around?

Started to understand that if they cut europe loose, they get somebody who spend more than china or russia in the defence, with proven advanced tech to compete with and lose a good chunk of power projectio at the same time, and all the “plan b” production lines?

    Next discovery? water is hot?

  18. Buy from the US or I’ll tax people in the US who buy from you more! Ah ….. such winning

Do it.  Keep the pressure on.  Bullies can’t handle pushback.

More threats. We literally just called his bluff and he folded and one day later he’s back to threatening us. Seriously

Threats. It’s always threats Trump has no interest in negotiating in good faith, and he doesn’t understand the value of compromise. It’s time Europe, and the rest of the world, takes a stand and says “no”. If they don’t now, he’ll only persist with this childish behaviour.

Central banks of countries make economic and financial decisions everyday. If the US is no longer a viable long term investment, it’s assets are sold and more attractive or stable investments are acquired. It’s not personal, its how the financial markets work.

  24. And with what money are you going to finance said “Big retaliation”?

  25. Sorry America, but you no longer have any leverage since you blew apart the world order. Noone cares about your threats, because you already made the maximum threat.

America, you destroyed your own empire, an empire we were all in and quite happy with. It’s over now, and you lost your power due to incompetence and a complete lack of understanding of geopolitics.

All those Americans going on about the US’s military power & how they could “crush Europe” & how “Denmark has nothing” are suddenly realizing that modern wars aren’t just fought on the battlefield & that America could in fact be brought to its economic knees overnight. I remember during Covid how people in the IS absolutely lost their minds & freaked out when toilet paper was scarce & they couldn’t get their haircut every week – American *DO NOT* handle inconvenience very well at all.

Not to mention Trump’s very wealthy, very powerful overlords who “donated” to his campaign to keep him out of prison & get him in the White House so that he could give them whatever they want would loose *everything* in a heartbeat. I’m sure they would *not* be pleased with that AND with them not getting their goodies he promised in return. If things go bad for them, things will go *very* bad for him. I’m sure they have a significant amount of dirt on him & I’m sure they’re putting a LOT of pressure on him right now!
