Trump alone has done irreparable damage to the trust and reliability the US once had. Europe has the strenght to push back. Economic and military. Even as Europe wanta a good relationship with America, they should always stand firm and honest.

It wont be easy. The thing is, even if we dismiss the usual dinamics of country electorate over union, detatching from the US wont happen overnight.
Its been decades of alliance and relying on american support and companies for a lot of stuff, even managing our own money.
Not that we really have a choice, but cutting all ties tomorrow isnt feasible.
