What is the point of an apology from Trump? It holds no value, he won’t mean it and will likely back track on it soon afterwards.
An apology is an opportunity to admit your wrongs and show contrition and regret in the hope of forgiveness, Trump cannot do this and seeks nothing but fear.
I doubt he feels any pressure at all, to be honest. To do so, he would either need a conscience, or at least someone in his regime that has spine enough to *tell* him there’s pressure. Neither of those things are true.
