Europe has replaced reliance on Russian energy to American. Great grand strategy.

The invisible hand of the market seems to have strangled the invisible hand of European values. Apparently, geopolitical morality is a luxury good that Europe can no longer afford.

The only way for Europe is to go full renewable and become completely independent by producing all the energy locally.

I am pretty sure there were state sponsored psyops to sabotage european energy efforts.
It makes no sense for UK to not invest in gas production or Germany to shut down their nuclear. None of the European energy company has made a significat effort to secure energy supplies from middle east or africa either.

The Netherlands needs to reopen the Groningen gas fields.
The were closed because of earthquakes, but the revenue from the gas can easily compensate those affected.
This is the biggest stick the Netherlands has at the moment and could hurt Russia for about 10 billion a year as well as decrease dependence on the US.
To me it’s very interesting that Russia attacked Ukraine not long after the Dutch gas fields were closed.
It was a strategic mistake to close them.

Everybody from the left to the right, repeat after me:
Nuclear energy!
Start developing the plans now, right now, and get building as soon as we possibly can. It is the only way for Europe to see to everybody’s energy needs without having to lie on someone’s teat.
