First they cause the problem, then they blame us and send us to fix it.

Yeah but that’s one country. And the EU is multiple countries

Forget the comparisons at this point. We all know that Europe did much better and that the US is an unreliable and deeply dysfunctional state.

Let’s focus on the future. We can do much more in Ukraine. We need to do much more in Ukraine. We owe it to them. And it’ll be a signal to the world as well as to which western union will be the real superpower of the 21st century.

Pissant should be openly mocked at every opportunity.

This isn’t something to be proud of though, the fact that they invested so much aid for a country that isn’t even remotely in their sphere of influence, ukraine is almost a part of europe and still we rely on a country in another continent to help solve our problems for us.

The US bigger sacrifice is sanctions against Russia has hurt the dollars reserve status. While American is sanctioning countries like India, Europe is making the biggest every trade deals with the Indians.

The US has risked our entire financial system. Europeans won’t even take the Russian cash from their banks and give it to the Ukrainians. It’s “too risky”.

The USA didn’t make a single sacrifice, most of that money went into their own MiC. They just gave Ukraine their old stuff and ordered new stuff from their own MiC.

And obviously that helped Ukraine, but it’s not a sacrifice for the US at all lol.

I say it again: The US gave a security guarantee to Ukraine after they destroyed their nuclear arsenal. They willingly offered to protect them.

    US security protections are worthless.

Remember, measuring things for American is difficult. You have to put in terms they can understand, like “football fields” and “gallons” and “semi-truck length”… maybe if this was in “McD happy meals” it would make more sense to the treasury secretary

That doesn’t even include estimated cost of refugees which for Germany is 47,5B € as example

    Really a financial genius!

I agree with the point that Europe has, by now, become much more of a supporter to Ukraine than America.

That said, starting the counter on the day of the invasion is a bit unfair, because America had been helping Ukraine a lot before the invasion, when most European powers (namely Germany) thought that war either wouldn’t happen or that Russia would win easily.

Remember Trump’s first impeachment? That was over demanding Zelensky lie about Joe Biden in return for Trump not blocking support that Congress had already approved.

That’s bs, US aid has reached $187b in total appropriations

Now let’s see how much per capita

For one, Ukraine is not our problem. It is EU’s problem considering they border each other. Unlike EU we are actually putting out military to use and taking out Russian allies in Venezuela and Iran on top of seizing their oil tankers which Zelensky adamantly supports

Secondly, most of what EU has given Ukraine are [loans](https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/crew8y7pwd5o) and will have to be paid back. Most of what the U.S. gave Ukraine were grants and will not have to be paid back.

Even the recently [approved ](https://www.bbc.com/news/live/ce8np3pnljdt)aid to Ukraine is a loan.

There should be a law that punishes the lying of people in charge of the country.. that is so stupid. It wasn’t much like that in the past. Just the bad times happening.

    Everything Americans tell are lies.

They’re masters of propaganda, they always were.

I strongly support Ukraine. The Europeans should do more than the US since they are right next door. Not taking the $300 billion in frozen russian money is a total wimp move. Not giving more long range weapons and greenlights to hit inside of Russia is pathetic.

Both the US and EU let Ukraine down.
