      Whatever about it’s impact on climate change, it’ll be massive for air quality in cities if the trend continues.

      There needs to be a standard charging service across the country – and rates need to be as close to residential electricity unit costs.

      Not a unique app, and €80 deposit while I charge

      Be interesting to see what happens over the coming years now that Toyota has developed an engine that’s fuelled by water.

      I drive a hybrid myself, not comfortable going fully electric as I reckon they could become the minidisc players of cars.

      The obsession with setting targets might have pushed things initially with respect to manufacturers but now it’s the market which will finish the job. More good EVs at now more sensible prices (as the tech is no longer being sold as cutting edge for early adopters) will see a doubling of 20% pretty quickly.

      It’s only going one direction.

      EVs will reach price parity in 2027.

      By 2028 50% of new cars will be battery EVs.

      By 2035 we could ban petrol and diesel cars.

      Dublin Bus will be fully electric by 2035.

      Next then is trucks and lorries and also trains.

      So then our entire transport network (besides planes and ships) will be electric.
