Doesn’t surprise me, they were quite overpriced with everything in comparison to Mr Price and Dealz.

They failed to innovate and left stock on shelves nobody wanted for a decade.

    Just poorly run.

I’ll miss them because they are the only discount shop in my local town. I feel sorry for the workers also.

Feel bad for the 640 employees.

Hope the front of their Oliver plunkett street shop in cork gets thorn down, though, these’s a beautiful building behind it, and the shop front looks awful.

The Bridgewater, Arklow, will have yet another vacant unit.

Poor workers I hate these tat shops and led covered vape shops but hard on anyone losing an income

Worker here, we were all only told today like 5 minutes before it hit the news but we all saw it coming, there was no stock coming in and half our shelves have been empty for the past few months so while it was still a shock we are all losing our jobs its been something we’ve all been talking about for a while

  8. 640 jobs that’s awful. What a fecking week of shite weather and news.

I didn’t realise it was actually an Irish company.

I saw on Facebook the kind post from Mr. Price. If they highlighted that more it would have worked to their favour instead of Dealz (UK company called Poundland over there).

I didn’t know Mr Price was Irish either.

I was only in the local one the other day and they had feck all stock and all the confectionery was stuff no one would buy, so not surprised at the news.
