I mean, I’m very cynical about AI-generated “art”, but I think the problem here is that the prompts used in these cases were just too vague. It doesn’t “think” Berlin looks like that at all, but if you give it “Berlin” as a prompt it’s going to look at photos that are in some way associated with Berlin (by being, for example, featured on web pages that mention Berlin at some point) and, this being the age of social media, most of those photos are going to be selfies.
