Might as well pay it straight to Reform HQ at this point.

Not surprised, it must be costing them a fortune to keep sending me all these letters.

Gotta find the funding to send me those bullshit red letters, even though I’ve told them multiple times I don’t need a licence.

They’re saving up to pay Trump the $47b he’s suing them for over that video they aired that prevented him becoming President.

Going to say rising costs will equal rising cancellations. The BBC seem to be stuck in quite the doom loop with this approach.
Could of sworn only the other day I read sonething where the BBC were stating or being told that license fees were not to rise again.

That’s ok. It won’t go up for those who choose not to pay it.

Cancelled my TV licence last month and told them I no longer needed one. So it will be interesting to see how long it takes to actually start receiving the threatening letters in the mail.

Seems like only the older generation actually pay for their license

Surprised how many don’t pay in here. I think it’s very good value compared to Netflix for example.
Those that disagree – curious as to why?

It’s cost them more than £5.50 to send me all that threatening junk mail last year.

Time to uninstall iplayer everywhere, I imagine they’ll start getting militant wrt people using iplayer without a license. Thankfully all the kids stuff is on youtube now.

One day you’ll need to pay it to watch any video. What a sad day that’ll be.
However I think there’s a genuine opportunity for the BBC to do their own version of YouTube. We should make more of our own platforms and not rely on Americans.

Not for me it won’t i do not watch their shitty tv services full stop and never will

At this moment in time I’m paying more than a Netflix subscription for the occasional Cbeebies. Maybe it’s time to cancel!

Will be cancelling mine this year, should have done it last year but it was on auto renewal.
Do you need it for Youtube? I don’t watch BBC anymore

The government sets the licence fee and rules, not the BBC.
Seems like a lot of people don’t know this.

Sweet, so i’ll be saving even more money come April then

I really should get round to cancelling that. Haven’t used it in years.

Bet BBC will try and use the World Cup as an excuse for charging TV License.

Cancelled my quarterly payments the other week. I’m not using their services and they need to improve the editorial quality of their news output if they want me to continue funding it like a charity. I firmly disagree with all the political appointees at the top and they will have to win my trust back in the future

An extra £5.50 on top of what I’m already not paying.

Of course it is. The BBC have to fund there massive library of repeats.

Fine by me. Still cheaper than paying cook or bezos to gut me for data in the name of their trash.

All that money will be going directly into Trump’s pocket. The BBC probably know they’re not going to win the lawsuit against them so they’ll choose to settle for tens of millions of dollars instead.
