      Is this even “lawful” as they claim? Like, aren’t there laws against undue foreign interference in domestic politics in most countries? At least Russia tries to be sneaky about it when they meddle in other countries’ affairs

      The USA’s reputation’s going to be in the toilet for decades after this. They’re just exporting utterly toxic bullshit and trying to meddle in politics in what are generally very stable places. All they’re doing is attempting to spread MAGA ideology, and using US tax payers’ money and resources to do so.

      US soft power and cultural influences are evaporating with every one of these bellicose statements.

      It’s a bit rich being lectured about free speech by a country that ranks 57th in the world for freedom of the press and is considered a flawed democracy based on 2024 data!
