Grazie.

This doesn’t appear to be about single parents, but about children born to unmarried parents. That’s because Norway is less puritan about that sort of thing, imo. People still get married, but doing so after already having children is very common.
Born outside of marriage doesn’t necessarily mean single parenthood. It just means the parents weren’t married, but they could still live together.
There’s quiet a lot of girls who used to get pregnant at a very early age, around 15-16, usually with their boyfriend at that time. I at least experienced that, 5 of the girls in my class had a kid before turning 17.
And mostly the relationship with the babydaddy doesn’t last. But thats just my experience.
Good social benefits – the economic fear is less than for single mothers in other countries, so women are less afraid to leave abusive partners than other places. Also they abort less often, and abortion numbers are way lower than many other places. Countries where abortion is illegal have higher abortion numbers than Norway.
No shame in being single and a parent. So why abort, if you want a baby?
