This is what people picture when they no doubt talk about peat cutting and its ban recently in Ireland.
As someone who’s parents still burn turf and has rared turf since they were young. This is absolutely not what industrial peat harvesting looks like in the Midlands today

Greens need to piss off with their anti-turf cutting agenda for the few communities who still carry on this tradition on their own land and are more than often struggling financially.
Compared to the amount of coal that’s burnt, this is miniscule.
Large industrial scale burning of peat in power plants like Bord na Móna is a completely different story.
