“Che cosa è sufficiente?” — L’aumento dei prezzi dei prodotti alimentari si profila mentre la Finlandia si muove per frenare i marchi privati dei supermercati
Fattura per limitare i prodotti alimentari di marca del negozio "cibo economico" viene proposto. Non possono letteralmente lasciare nulla di intentato in questo paese.
Well we can hope there are still enough adults in parliament to know this is fucking stupid and there is absolutely no point to it at all. Even after reading the article I still don’t know what the problem is supposed to be.

In LIDL we trust, I guess.

The price of food is so damn high that it would be profitable to move to Spain or Romania just because of that

This protectionism makes no sense.
Finland is simply not a good place to do agriculture. If they can’t compete with imports then I would say just give up.
Consumers are already squeezed by the cost of living crisis. I don’t have any sympathy left with uncompetitive farmers.

Make a list of those policians who proposed this bill and put them in your personal shit list. Is this searchable in eduskunta website?

They are not wrong on this one. Private labels is crappy cheap food anyway. I wish we had more Herkku stores and more stores that sell fresh organic foods directly from the farms. Everyone would be happier and healthier. If someone thinks that they don’t have enough money to afford real food then they can just eat less. It is still healthier than consuming toxic highly-processed foods sold under the private labels

Why would they even propose this with the current employment? How about making it easier for the suppliers, farmers, etc to sell products and get into the market chains?

I’m more concerned that Pirkka was apparently phased out for Coop in most lines. Although Nordic-focused, [Coop](https://www.cooptrading.com) is an international conglomerate originating from Denmark rather than a Finnish-owned and operated entity. If we’re going to have “store brands”, I’d much rather them be domestic and local.
