Psychiatric and learning disability care are the bottom of the barrel in the NHS and private care services. They mostly go unnoticed, but if you think that conventional care is underfunded, I can guarantee you shit like this goes on all the time in many places in the UK.
Jesus Christ. I’ve done care reviews there, and there does seem to be to be an attitude of “we’ll do what we want”. Unfortunately it’s far from the only hospital I’ve gotten that vibe from.

Awful place. Anyone who lives in Northampton and knows someone who either worked there or been a patient there has nothing good to say about the place. Unfortunately if its shut down I have little faith that other services are any better, the patients will be moved and the mistreatment will continue elsewhere. The state of care of vulnerable people with mental health issues in this country is beyond shocking.
