How hard can it be to monitor farms. They receive a lot of various government fundings
just hire some people who routinely do unannounced visits and fine/cut funding/ legal action against violations
put some people out of business and let people who will do the job properly fill the gaps in the market then.
it shouldn’t even be down to a charity to do this it should be a basic government duty

The RSPCA are fucking useless. It’s an insult that they still get to call themselves royal.

Not just the RSPCA, many of the other farm animal welfare organisations don’t seem to be able to monitor their standards and it comes as a huge shock to them when these things come to light. I decided a long time ago that the only way not to be complicit with this was to go vegetarian.
