      It’s probably Clonmel.

Same as Bulmers. Massive big orchards down there.

There’s a few different cideries around the place. Tipperary, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry – anywhere you can grow apples really.

Clonmel, I worked on the line where it was produced in the Bulmers factory, Apparently they ship in the apples from New Zealand

Most of the apples that go into bulmers come from Sweden if I recall correctly

There’s an orchard in Drogheda that make Dan Kelly cider (I think that’s what it’s called)

The Boann Distillery owners used to be part of the Tipp Water organisation and started their own brewery/distillery up in Drogheda also, part of their leaving that company they got Devils Bit Cider as one of their brands

As much as it’s associated with knacker drinking, if you actually buy cans of it and treat it like a normal drink it’s actually a grand cider

It should by rights give the address on the back if you’re passing again!

I make my own down here in Kerry. Majority of cider these days is too sugary and artificially flavoured, no different to WKD.

Cider made from real cider apples (high in tannins) is something special, but not that popular in Ireland for some reason.
