    >At the outset, Mr Justice Brian Cregan warned Mr Burke that he would direct gardaí to return him to Mountjoy Prison if he strayed beyond behaviour that the court deemed acceptable.

    >…

    >As Mr Burke interjected while Rosemary Mallon, the barrister for the board of management, was outlining proposals to constitute a new DAP, the judge ordered him to sit down.

    >When he did not sit down, Mr Justice Cregan directed gardai to return him to Mountjoy Prison amid opposition from members of his family.

    >As he was being escorted by gardaí, Mr Burke accused the court of an “abuse of power” and said: “This is absolutely disgraceful, I have a right to justice.”

**Laboured** ***sigh***. This horseshit has gone on and on, and on. The man was warned, not for the first time, then persisted anyway.

One of my dogs used to get really very excited and anxious at times, so much so that he just wouldn’t listen even if he knew he’d get into trouble.

But he’s really settled down after we had him neutered

I think the way to get this to stop is for the media to stop reporting on it

The most outrageous is the fact that he is able to torpedo all attempts to actually terminate his employment.

Also, for sure at this stage there is reason for DPP to file charges against him and finally bring prosecution. It is unbelievable how much resources he is wasting without any meaningful consequences.

The world must be a very difficult place when you’re right and the entire planet is wrong

He lives for acting up in court this lad. It’s the only excitement he has in life.

How much longer ‘til he’s actually sacked and a line can be drawn under this? How long can he carry on foiling the attempts to terminate his employment.

At this point it is pretty obvious that he really wants to be in prison, personally I’m glad that the court is prepared to grant his wish.

I would care even less about this nutcase if it wasn’t for the fact that he is still technically employed all this time while doing all that shit. For much much less than anything he did, any ordinary person would be fired on the spot and left with nothing.

Obvious question: why did they not make him do the court session via video link in the first place? Must have been some technical/legal reason.

Anyone following this case would have known for certain that they would start kicking off again….

He just needs to be kept in prison for 10 years with no early release.

Put an end to this crap!

    Very strange.

Usually such a quiet restrained lad……..

Can honestly say this whole thing has really made me side eye the legal system in this country. You can’t tell me that if this was a working class family from Dublin or Limerick etc they would be allowed the level of apparent grace these people have had in terms of consistently disrupting the Court and the process. A joke.

Nah, this is performance art on Burke’s part and has been for quite some time.

If the media stopped giving him attention he’d disappear but we can’t have nice things

Perfect flair. No need for anything further. Gobshites gotta gobshite.

Did i read somewhere that he’s not in general population ?

If we put a treadmill in his cell with a sign at one end saying “High Court : This Way”, I’m wondering how many megawatts of power we could get out of him.

It would be the first useful thing he’s done.

Be gas if went back to the school and someone was standing in his usual spot.

The easiest way to resolve all of this is to have the disciplinary hearing and the court hearings held in a room inside MountJoy prison.

This could all be resolved in a matter of days. Officially sack him, stop paying his salary, and give him a lifetime ban on being anywhere near the school.

If he still turns up at the school, give him a 10 year sentence with no remission. If he turns up again after release, another 10 year sentence and so on…

This way Enoch will either spend the rest of his life in jail and we only need to hear about him every decade, or he’ll stop going to the school altogether.

It’s time for the courts to draw a line under this.

The government needs to step in and pass some legislation preventing circuses like this happening again.

The system is clearly broken but no one cares as everyone involved is still getting paid

  22. rsynnott2 on

These are getting very same-y. Enoch blathers on for a bit, then gets sent back to prison, about six separate Burkes get kicked out for making a show of themselves. Like at this point the journalists probably mostly have it as a form article; just fill in the names of today’s problem Burkes and go to press.
