UCD are a disgrace. I hope I never come in contact with this future doctor or their scumbag friends. He should be fucked out and blacklisted… oh and ARRESTED!

Does current legislation exist to prosecute those who sent and shared the images? I wouldn’t like to see anyone who did so working as a doctor at the minimum

The focus of this case seems very skewed to me.
A woman has been brutally assaulted, raped, left unconcious and had photos of her unconcious body circulated to her student peers.
Do we know what hapened to the psycopath who did this. Has the rapist been caught and imprisoned? Are the gardai investigsting? It’s terrifying to think that this individual may still be at large, ready to attack other victims.
This doesn’t mean I’m blind to the failings of UCD to act appropriately and humanely in the face of the photos and emails being shared. But the whole media focus seems to be on the failures of the institution, and not on the crimes of the rapist. It’s very weird to me.

Has she talk to the Garda at all? For the rape? Sexual assault? Sharing of intimate images without consent?

They need to stop calling every sex crime sexual assault.
Because now when you hear sexual assault, you don’t know if someone has been pinned down and raped in an alley, had their backside touched by a random weirdo on the bus, or had their ex BF send people nudes.
It is utterly braindead to willingly use the same term over and over again for such a broad range of offences to the point where now nobody knows what it actually means.

Every profession has their scumbags but I supposed medical gives off the violation feeling that police or accountants can’t.
Sadly I knew a trainee doctor once who tried to rape by cousin when she was too drunk to provide consent and have heard other crap about him doing other things including a rape with women. If you have a doctor originally from wexford that’s initials are BH. Well just be careful.

I can’t believe UCD stopped the student paper publishing the story with legal threats according to the bit at the end of the radio segment. Censorship and silencing of victims to protect their own reputation over protecting other students and potential victims. Covering up the truth and facts. Unbelievable.

Why have UCD responded the way they have about this? It seems insane given the perpetrator was emailing people images and saying extremely abusive things about the victim? I can’t understand it?
