Finally made it to The Irish Times. Heads really are about to roll.

There’s something really peculiar and quacky about the culture of Irish medicine and medical teaching, and this is one of the symptoms. I didn’t realise how bad things were until I experienced the culture of medical care in the UK and Europe.

Someone in another thread said it already, but again, why is this all focusing on UCDs response and hardly any mention of where the Garda investigation is. Surely there is enough evidence to track this guy down

What a revolting thing to do. I hope this pushes AI-generated digital abuse higher on the agenda.

Let’s fucking go. UCD officials involved to lose their jobs. People kicked out of college.
The repeated circulation of stories like these indirectly tell women what matters and what doesn’t. This is intimation of women in male dominated spaces again and again.

  6. As a former student, I’m absolutely disgusted at this entire situation. I cannot imagine the pain, humiliation, and isolation this poor student felt. UCD should be mortified at how they handled this situation, and deserve every bad bit of PR they get. That email that was sent out to students was revolting and lacked any accountability. UCD officials need to lose jobs over the handling of this situation.

Absolutely sick. Typical UCD. My heart goes out to the poor lady. I hope she can recover

UCD made a statement BEFORE they contacted the student involved directly. She’s been failed by everyone at that university. Poor girl.

Very concerned about the callous behaviour of both students and staff. Not the way to educate and lead this already troubled generation.

I’m confused as to what is so bad about UCDs response to this? The article doesn’t suggest the university itself has dropped the ball?

Maybe I’m not remembering right but don’t UCD have form for this?

  12. How!? How???? Everyone involved needs to pay for this and where’s the culprit?
