Problem is a global one and no desire at all global level to address it. And, ironically we will be a more desired destination in 20 years.
At this stage I already settle for not having to turn the heating on for 48 hours…….

Come July we’ll be talking about lack of water again in the heat
Build more reservoirs? If there’s land/space it will give some short term and long term jobs. In the future we might be looking at longer dry spells so we can use it. Plus we won’t be far off the water wars so might as well start stockpiling.
The Guardian newspaper had a piece today on how Europe is struggling with flooding resulting from higher levels of moisture not letting the ground retain any water, all exacerbating due to climate change. No Irish media has bothered to mention it. We may get used to it

The car parks around the Blessington lake have been closed for weeks now because of the water levels. There’s some of the smaller roads with channels ripped out with the amount of water flowing down the roads.
