      One thing these geniuses seem to miss is how negatively this is impacting the US’s image for international tourists. Read last year that tourism to the US was already down over 30%. This sort of behavior will only exacerbate this. Would love to hear this guy and his ilk explain to the people working in the hospitality and tourism sector in the US how this benefits them and their jobs.

      I am not a big fan of Rousseau and thought his comparison to nazi Germany was (a bit) overstated, but if true this is completely unacceptable and confirms what he was saying.

      I understand that this would be an escalation but good god, expel our ambassador. We get 0 consequences for meddling in everyone’s affairs. This is so clearly an overstep and violation of diplomatic norms – you just gonna let the US get away with it?
