If anyone ever wanted to see the absurdity of school uniforms, the school I was at in the 90s was prime example.
Blazers could not be removed unless it was a school-wide permission from the headmaster. PE had to be done in shorts, irrespective of weather or venue.
Did it prepare me for the outside world? Not at all. I haven’t worn a uniform in 20 years.
