It’s always the same. See it at lights all the time. People just can’t help themselves.

What, pray tell, is SO damned important that people cannot put the phone away for even a short time?!
See it out walking all the time too, most people don’t even bother to look where they’re going anymore. How can you walk around like that, sure you could bump into someone or something, knock over a child, step into traffic, encounter some dog mess, etc. Is it not worth watching out for yourself anymore?
Monday morning grumpy old lady rant over.

We are addicted, plain and simple. I miss the days of Nokia, just calls and texts, wee game of snake…

You see it when you’re waiting to cross a road too, traffic queue starts moving except for one distracted fucker who doesn’t realise a big gap has opened in front of him

Maybe they were chatting to each other 😂
Phones in the car is such a massive problem now, can’t understand how adults can’t just keep it in their pockets – we give out about kids and screens but adults are so much worse.
Don’t even get me started about people scrolling tik tok with their phone in those holders on the windscreen

I thought it was about how your man went bald and got a top onto his van before your very eyes

Just remember, it’s your fault as a cyclist or pedestrian for not covering yourself head-to-toe in glittering neon battle armour. Drivers of several tons of steel and rubber hurtling down the road are simply not to blame.

OP how did you take this picture, if not yourself being on your phone

Man you should try filtering through traffic on a motorcycle. You can see in to peoples cars when they think no one can… It’s legitimately shocking.
Not even the amount of people on their phone, although thats bad enough as is… but the things people are doing on their phone.
Texting, watching tic-toc, doing makeup with the selfie camera…. Mad stuff altogether.

I just read at the Garda FB page its illegal to hold the phone even while stopped at a light. The construction light near me is 180 seconds with a countdown tiner displayed. I get alot done during those 3 minutes! 🤣

I’m curious hw other motorists would feel if the government took a response to make it illegal to have a phone turned on whatsoever while in a private vehicle, in response to the rampant use of the by drivers, and the deaths in the roads ig is causing. Have it turned off and in a zipped up bag, the glove compartment or the boot, or be found to be breaking the law and partially at fault for any incidents that might occur while driving said car.
After all “anything that makes is even just a little bit safer is worthwhile” was the argument out forth towards recent legislation, that many were happy to get behind.

Pedestrians and cyclists posting their anti car ragebait is causing these people to have to respond while stuck in traffic. How can they expected to travel for 5 minutes without being triggered by a Pedestrians light or a kid in hi viz on a bike
